Request an AppointmentComponents of Skin Rejuvenation
The components of skin rejuvenation can be divided into the skin surface (mostly epidermis) and skin tightening (skin dermis).
- Skin surface rejuvenation results in smaller skin pores, a youthful skin glow, less pigmentation, and some wrinkle concerns.
- Rejuvenation of the skin dermis results in skin tightening such as the reduction in Jowling, turkey neck, vertical neck bands, forehead tightening, smaller skin pores, acne scars, other facial scars, and fine and medium wrinkles but doesn’t do much for the surface of the skin.
Facial Triad of Aging
- Aging of skin (thinning of the skin, solar changes, wrinkling, all worse with smoking and sun exposure)
- Loss of facial volume (primarily fat & bone)
- Laxity of soft tissue (Primarily influenced by soft-tissue volume loss and the effects of gravity)

Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation
Skin Tightening and Resurfacing
One of the main devices we use is a fractional radiofrequency device that allows us to perform procedures in a much shorter period with only one device rather than several different devices. We can correct surface texture imperfections such as acne scars or large pores, all while tightening the skin and stimulating the growth of collagen and elastin. This results in a tighter face and neck along with thicker skin.
How does it work?
This device has 24 or 60 small needles on the end of the handpiece that allows precise and controlled penetration into the skin. After the needles are engaged in the skin, the device releases radiofrequency energy controlled by the provider into the deeper or superficial skin layers.
A deeper energy release is what stimulates collagen growth, which decreases fine lines and medium wrinkles, as well as gives the face a better-defined, youthful, and tighter appearance. When energy is released through the fine needles, heating of the skin layers occurs around each needle. As the skin heals and remodels, the surrounding dermis pulls tightly together, ironing out fine lines and wrinkles. The controlled release of energy allows visible imperfections, such as all types of scars, including acne scars, large pores, and rough-textured appearance, to be improved.
What is the procedure?
Your face will have to be clean and free of any products. After adequate topical anesthesia, the provider will begin the Fractora treatment. We will work in all regions of the face and neck that need improvement, making several passes over areas to ensure maximum results are achieved, adjusting the energy applied to the type of skin and desired effect.
Most patients tolerate this procedure well without any additional anesthesia, nitrous oxide, or sedation. Occasional spasms of underlying muscles occur when the radiofrequency is released into the skin and generally causes more of a startling effect than causing discomfort.
Most patients experience little to no discomfort during the procedure and report feeling “wind-chapped” after the numbing medication wears off. Patients experience mild swelling and redness in the treated region for 3-5 days and have mild skin peeling. You should use gentle cleansers and moisturizers until all areas have healed. Then you can resume your beauty regime, focusing on sun protection as you should have little unprotected exposure for 2-3 weeks.

Lumecca
Lumecca is the most powerful, intense pulsed light (IPL) that treats pigmented and vascular lesions. After one session, patients notice a significant improvement in their skin’s complexion and clarity. Lumecca improves the appearance of age spots, vascular lesions, rosacea, freckles, and sun damage. You can get Lumecca treated on all areas of the body. The most often treated areas include the face, neck, decolletage, legs, hands, and arms.
Avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning a month prior to your treatment.
What should I expect during and after Lumecca?
During your treatment, there will be a bright flash of light that feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after the treatment but will subside within an hour after the procedure. Over the next 24-48 hours, you may see a darkening of pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening of the skin tone. After treating vascular lesions, you may see the vein blanch disappear or a color change in the vessel, which dissipates after a few days.
How many sessions are required?
Your skin’s appearance will be improved within the first treatment; multiple sessions provide even better results. The treatment regime depends on the severity of the skin damage, skin type, type of treatment, and energy settings.
How quickly will I see results?
Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen within a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with the most visible results after 1-2 weeks. Having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. For vascular treatments, results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.

Microneedling
Microneedling is one of the safest and most effective ways to improve the appearance of your skin and rejuvenate the underlying tissue. As a part of our body’s natural aging process, our skin experiences a loss of collagen and elastin, which results in the formation of fine lines, creases, and wrinkles.
Along with the natural aging process, the visible appearance of your skin can be altered by environmental factors or elements of your lifestyle, such as exposure to the elements, uneven skin tones, stretch marks, or dark spots.
What should I expect during microneedling treatment?
Microneedling devices use very fine, short needles that can be slowly rolled over the skin by a medical professional. When the needles pass over the skin, they gently poke through the surface, creating micro-channels that are invisible to the naked eye but help spur the natural rejuvenation process. Due to the short recovery time, minimal discomfort, and life-changing results, microneedling has quickly become one of the most popular skin treatments we offer.
What should I expect after microneedling treatment?
Because microneedling is non-surgical and minimally invasive, most patients can return to their everyday activities right away. However, your skin may be a bit more sensitive to light and pink in color immediately following your treatment. If this is the case, remember that your skin is in the process of healing itself, so you should limit your exposure to direct sunlight or harsh chemicals such as some makeup and foundations. Within a day or two, your complexion will naturally even out, and you won’t even be able to tell you had the procedure done except by the noticeable results.
What are the benefits of microneedling treatment?
Microneedling improves results, skin texture, pigmentation, fine lines, and healing because of all growth factors introduced into the skin via microneedling channels. You can see a noticeable improvement in patients’ skin after PRP. Our providers recommend adding PRP to microneedling treatment for the best results!

Chemical Peels
These days, the term ‘chemical peel’ applies to many different formulations ranging from weaker glycolic peels that can be done at home to the strongest Phenol peels that often require sedation or general anesthesia. These workhorses can correct acne, age spots, discoloration, tone, fine lines (especially under the eyes and around the mouth), freckles, melasma, sun damage, and more. Some peels produce relatively light changes and freshen the skin through exfoliation.
Moderately deep peels will help various kinds of pigmentation issues. The deeper peels are effective at correcting wrinkles. Peels tend to cost less than laser skin resurfacing, averaging anywhere from $100 to $500 per treatment based on the type of peel.

Eribum Laser
Eribum Laser resurfacing removes moderately deep lines and wrinkles from the skin, with little injury to the surrounding tissue.
The Erbium laser, a significant advancement in laser technology, operates within the mid-infrared range and is widely utilized in various medical and cosmetic procedures. Emitting light at a wavelength of around 1.54 micrometers, the Erbium laser is particularly effective for precise tissue ablation and skin resurfacing.
The Erbium laser’s versatility, accuracy, and relatively limited side effects underscore its significance in the realm of medical and cosmetic interventions, making it a preferred choice for procedures like skin rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, and treatment of scars or pigmentation irregularities.
